The All Mountain Group was formed in the summer of 2012 when four veterans of the outdoor industry decided to join forces and merge their 80+ years of combined outdoor industry experience to help bring legitimate sport expertise, intimate product knowledge, honest insight and advice, and strong industry relationships to the marketplace in a new representative agency.

We are proud to have partnered with several of the top brands in the ski, climb and outdoor world, to help bring the expertise, fun, and knowledge of the sports we serve to the northeastern market. With 3 representatives, we offer complete regional coverage for the New England Marketplace.

Tyler Merritt

Tyler began his journey in the outdoor industry in 1994 with the backcountry ski pioneering brands of Karhu and Merrell.  Following 2 years as sub rep working with brands such as Salomon and Cascade design, Tyler joined Black Diamond Equipment in 1999 with a focus on the Ski and Mountain categories.  Working in close partnership with Russ, the Northeast territory has had amazing growth. Tyler’s expertise and passion remains on the ski side of the business and is our point person for all ski related products and markets.  Tyler covers western New England (VT, CT, Western Mass, and Western NH), along with the Adirondack region of NY. When the snow melts, you will most likely find Tyler out on his mountain bike deep in the New England woods or playing with his daughter, Mazzy.

Erik Mushial

Erik discovered the sport of rock climbing in his college years. He opened the Rock Barn in the early 1990’s, one of the first rock climbing gyms in New England. At the Rock Barn Erik made connections with climbing companies; Fiveten and Sterling Rope. Shortly after moving to Maine in 1997 Erik and Al Diamond formed a partnership as independent sales representative’s covering New England and the Mid Atlantic. Over the years Al and Erik have worked with many notable outdoor brands including, Gregory Mountain Products, Cloudveil, Icebreaker and Prana. After 16 years of working together in the outdoor industry Erik and Al have teamed up with Russ Clune and Tyler Merritt forming All Mountain Group. Erik covers Eastern New England (Maine, Rhode Island, eastern Mass and eastern New Hampshire). Erik lives in Portland with his wife and son.

Chris O’Connell

Growing up in rural New York, Chris often escaped to his local crag – the Shawnagunks – to go rock climbing. What began as a strong interest soon blossomed into a full-blown passion and later into a career in the outdoor industry. In the 1990s, Chris worked as a sales manager at Sterling Rope and later as a category buyer at Eastern Mountain Sports. In 2005, he purchased the Boston Rock Gym – the second oldest climbing gym in the United States –which he operated until its closure in 2020. Since then, Chris has served as a consultant to the climbing industry. He currently represents Petzl Equipment and Scarpa in New England for All Mountain Group. When Chris isn’t on the road, you can find him in his home state of New Hampshire working on his latest ice or rock climbing project.
